Volunteer
Peer Support Niagara wishes to offer volunteer
opportunities to those who want to help people recovering from
depression. Below are some of the opportunities available:
Driver - Drive people in your area to doctors
appointments and support group meetings
Transportation Coordinator - Coordinate
transportation services for people in your area.
Phone Support Worker - Give an encouraging
telephone call to those who need it.
Phone Support Coordinator - Coordinate telephone
calls for recovering individuals in your area.
Visitor - Visit people in your area who are
recovering from depression, either at their home or some other suitable
rendezvous.
Visitation Coordinator - Coordinate visitation
services in your area.
Sponsor - Call or visit someone
each day to help them work their program and attend meetings.
Support Group Facilitator - Lead a support group for people in
your area who are recovering from depression. You can choose a recovery
program from our Support
Group page, or
you can create your own structure for a meeting. Perhaps even doing a
meeting for teens.

Distributor - Distribute brochures to waiting
rooms in your area, or house to house in your area.
